Corn futures are rebounding today, ending the streak of 7 consecutive sessions of lower trade. Fresh news is scant today & most traders are chocking it up to a technical correction from oversold conditions. Beans are mixed in quiet trade while wheat is trading 1-3 cents/bu lower following yesterday’s first glimpse at national winter wheat conditions. NASS reported that 62% of winter wheat was rate either good or excellent vs. 60% a year ago. Breaking this down regionally, however, indicates that states that predominantly grow soft red winter wheat are faring better vs. a year ago while conditions in key hard red winter wheat producer KS are 49% good/excellent vs. 58% a year ago.
