Janie’s background as a 4th generation landowner and manager of her Minnesota family farm has acted as the basis for her work ethic and entrepreneurial expertise throughout her career.
She is the Co-Founder of Hanson Lahre, Inc. with previous roles in business development and project finance at John Deere and General Electric. While employed with John Deere she oversaw the development and construction of a large windfarm near Greensburg, Kansas.
With Hanson Lahre Inc., Janie is overseeing the development of an application called Croptomize. This app will allow for its users to view commodity trading information for Corn, Wheat, and Soybeans to assist with the process of selling their harvested crops.
She has a MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School and a BA in Environmental Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College with minors in Economics and Studio Art.
Deanna has over 20 years of experience as a grain trader and member of the Chicago Board of Trade and Kansas City Board of Trade. She was one of the founding trading partners of TransMarket Group in Chicago, Co-Founder of K2B, Inc., StatFutures, Inc., and co-founder of Hanson Lahre, Inc.
With Hanson Lahre, Inc., Deanna is creating artificial intelligence software and overseeing a new application called Croptomize. This app will provide robust market data for its users to view regarding pricing for Corn, Wheat, and Soybeans and model hedging strategies that utilize the commodity marketplaces.
She has a BS in Finance from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business, with minors in Mathematics and Astrophysics.
